Posted on Tuesday, February 06, 2007 - 08:07 pm:        The quick fix is as follows; using a pair of engineers pliers, grip the hinge 'pin' and push it downwards into base of camera. Do this carefully until the top of pin is free of the locating hole. Then very gently bend the pin away from body, until you can slide off the door. Do not loose the coil spring. Replacement is done in the reverse, after swapping over the catch. You will also find details in the archive.
