Hi Have a Nikon FM that needed repair. The mirror stayed in the up position when the shutter is triggered. The mecanic inside looks OK. I have now the problem to reassemble the back and the front part of the camera. I know there are sequence to respect to have the camera reassembeled and working properly. Does anyone has a service manual for this camera and would like to share it or maybe just an advise on how to positin the levers when putting the 2 main parts of the camera together. Thanks Jean-Philippe |

The closest that I have is a set of sketches for the FM2... I don't know if they will be useful or not. You're welcome to them if you want them though |

I have a similar problem with my FM as well. I also figured out that, there is a small pin (when you remove the bottom plate, it is left to middle if you turn the back of the camera to you) that releases the mirror. However, the problem is after nearly 3-5 shutter fires, it does it again and you need to open the bottom plate to release the mirror again. I have it in my collection for about 1.5 years so far I could not find a way to fix it. I thought this might help to you. |
