av a eos 1 and the curtain doesn look damaged but is always up, when i shoot comes down and goes up agin, so the light is always cumin in. it works kind of the wrong way around.

Sounds like only the second curtain is working. I've never opened one of these. But service centers still work on this model. That would be your best bet.
