Hello. I bought yashica electro gt. Shutter didnt open fully (at all shutter speeds)-the blades opened too slow and at B setting shutter dindt close. I have cleaned shutter blades and restored contact under release button for B time. Everything works fine now, but there is one strange thing - without batery, the shutter should operate with 1/500 s. I own two another GTs, without batery they operate properly. But the Yashica I repaired without batery doesnt open the shutter fully. I have looked on a dissasembled shutter mechanism from Electro GTN and I cant find any importance for this behaviour - is the shutter still dirty, or there was any construction change, which caused the older Yashicas open shutter w/o battery fully and never versions not ?thanks for suggestions |

Experienced the same, the blades were still dirty in their being linked to the baseplate, proper rotation was not possible that way. After careful cleaning everything worked as it should. |
