I recently obtained a Rollei TLR 35F (serial no. 2219370) Everything looks good but when I tried to load film, the frame counter doesn't seem to advance as it should. It does advance if I open the back & turn the winding lever whilr pressing slightly on the uptake spool. Then, once the frame counter starts working, if I take my finger off the uptake spool and keep winding the film, the frame counter continues working fine. However, if I close the back, the counter returns to 0 (as it should) but the counter no longer moves and stays at "0" even if I wind all the way through all the film. What am I doing wrong? |

Ok - correction to the above: The counter works fine as long as the back is open -- no pressure on the uptake spool needed -- but as soon as I close the back, the counter returns to zero and stays there. |

Are you threading the film BETWEEN the two rollers on the bottom? This is necessary for the camera to sense the start of the film. |
