A simple one (except when you don't know the answer!): does the slotted locking ring around the rewind shaft of the Program A/Plus (and presumably Super A/Program) unscrew clockwise or counterclockwise, please? I'm referring to the one that sits at the centre of the ASA dial assembly, accessible once the rewind knob/crank is removed... It's pretty firm so I don't know which direction to concentrate my efforts in...

normal thread (rh) so ccw. Nut under insert on the wind lever top is LH = cw. Set B asa 100 for disassembly. Note the position of the tab on the asa resistor -- maybe even mark it w/a pen. Makes reassembly easier. At B, the plastic tip of the shutter dial brush should point to the back of the camera. You also have to unsolder the gray sync wire from its terminal on the bd. Its easier than from the hot shoe contact. A 20w or so penciliron will do the job. Lift the cover slowly so you see where the wire goes. You don't want to tear it off.
