Hi
I would be very thankful for some advice. I have an FE that is in perfect cosmetic condition but the shutter won't release, the film advance is stuck and the mirror has not dropped to the normal position for viewing. Is there something I could do that's not too technical as I'm not great at repairs? |

Have you tried gently lowering the mirror? It might be stuck in position by a 'gummy' foam light-seal. |

Try to release the shutter in M90 (manual mode), had a similar problem with a Nikon FG, and that solved it. |

Thanks Reborn7. I have tried this and I suppose I have tried the basic things other than opening it up. I think there is a mechanism to control the mirror above the focusing screen. I think the shutter/mirror faults are part of the same fault. I do appreciate your help. Regards.. |
