Hi, How do I remove the advance lever on a Miranda RE-II? I need to remove the top cover. And while we are at it, How do I remove the rewind lever in case I need to remove the left top cover? Thanks, Ismael |

To remove the wind lever, you unscrew the cap on top of it: stick a piece of double-sided foam adhesive tape to it to get a grip and twist counter-clockwise. Unscrew the 2-hole pin face screw in the center of the shutter speed dial and lift the dial off. On the left side, insert something into the fork at the bottom of the rewind shaft to keep it from turning, then flip out the rewind crank and turn it counter-clockwise to unscrew it from the top of the shaft. Under that you'll find a spanner nut that you unscrew (counter-clockwise again) with a pin spanner. The rest of it is just regular screws. |

Rick, Thanks for pointing me in the right direction. Unfotunately the cap on top of the wind lever is not cooperating. I'll keep trying. Thanks! Ismael |
