Hi guys,

This is probably a simple answer, but I'm just scratching my head trying to figure it out.

I'm trying to replace the light seals on my EF, and to do so I need to remove the film door. I have removed the tiny screw pin on the door but I can't seem to figure out how to actually get the door off.

Anyone know how to accomplish this?

Although the door looks like it has a spring loaded release, the hinge shaft is actually a friction fit. It isn't necessary to remove the stop pin, but all you have to do is use a drift to carefully and lightly tap on the top hinge pin through the hole in the hinge pin bushing and the door will come off. To replace, just tap on the bottom hinge pin.
