OK, so I recently fixed the POD on my Electro, thanks to kind folks on this site and elsewhere. Ran a film through it, all lovely. Nice optics, reasonable exposures. Now, it's died on me again. I took it apart, couldn't see anything wrong, put it back together and Hey presto, it works again. For a bout a day or so, now it's failed again. Suspect electrical poor contact somewhere. Anyone have any ideas where might be most likely. Battery light comes on fine. TIA CD |

Part of the reason I don't have all my sanity is because of the Electro over the years!! Here's one hint: look at your shutter blades...........if they seem to have some oily substance between the blades, you might try removing that.........if you need help there, contact me @ www.flcamerarepair.com for FREE advice!! Your problem COULD be as simple as a sticking shutter working now but not next week after it sits for a while. |

Also try & demagnetizing the shutter as some of the early stuff people would put on top of the color TV sets & that would screw things up as they have a big coil that would activate to keep the picture nice & straight. Yea, it sounds nuts, but that happens. Good Luck! |
