Hello Everyone,
My Yashica Mat fails to cock the shutter when temperature falls below 4 C. This was not obvious to me up until I opened the shutter and removed self timer and retarder unit... After removing retarder unit (which is surprisingly clean) I've noticed that little brass pin which limits travel
of the escapement bracket is significantly bent. So my question is - is it some sort of adjustment or a defect?

AFAIR not as much an adjustment as a way to make sure nothing gets caught where it shouldn't. If my memory serves me right, this pin won't affect timing, but if your shutter was too tight on tollerances it could interfere with the escapement under certain conditions.
Should not have anything to do with cocking the shutter in cold. For solving that you have to check if the problem is inside the shutter (less likely) or in the linkage outside the shutter (more likely). Put the shutter together, put it in the fridge (or freezer even) and check if you can cock it reliably when cold (the cocking lever is accessible from the outside). If this is the case, adjust external linkage. If you can't, first then look inside the shutter.
