Hello need some skilled advice how to take the front fascia panel off.

After unscrewing the 4 screws under the leatherette I already took out the collar inside the flash socket but nothing has changed, I still donīt be able to take off the front panel and I donīt want to do it with force, because I feel that something holding the plate - maybe this is the flash socket? I could take them out off the plate...

What did I forget?

photos of what I have already done:

1- You need to remove the knob from the synch lever thing above the shutter release
2- The PC socket stays attached - after removing the retaining ring at the PC socket, you lift the right hand side of the panel away from the camera and then wrestle it off over the PC socket.
