I have a Contax IIa with the rangefinder having a slight vertical misalignment, any ideas on a fix and how to do it? Thanks, Todd |

As I recall (it's been awhile) the only way to adj. vert. is to remove the front plate--simple enough--and then the window under the dial--there is a small plate with one screw convering the glass--remove it and the lens is cemented with some sticky stuff--vert. adj is made by moving this lens up or down. Good Luck. |

Ed is right; there isn't really an adjustment, what happens is that the lens comes loose from the pitch stuff it was seated in and shifts position. getting it back right is a tedious trial and error process. once you have the vertical position correct, there is an adjustment for the lateral alignment. = |
