Film release button not poping back o...

This is for a Minolta x-700 I am desperate here. . .the film release button was not pushing in to rewind film. It finally went in but it is not popping back out?? No matter what I do (film advance etc) it is stuck in. The film will not advance either as it helps with the advance. Any ideas??? Thank you in advance.   Jon Goodman Rating: N/A Votes: 0 (Vote!) Posted on Friday, May 21, 2004 - 07:16 am:        Hi, Chris. I'd suggest removing the bottom plate to see if the button is catching (sticking) as it is pushed in. If it works fine without the bottom plate attached, I'd see if the bottom plate has been bent or distorted, or if the button needs to be cleaned or coated with a bit of vaseline or such. The button should go in & out pretty freely. Jon
