Does anyone know of a source for the small wood screws that fasten the face plate on most Kodak box cameras? I have searched locally but, everything is a little too large.
Thank you....
Frank.

Frank,

Try emailing Pablo Martinez - that sort of thing is right up his street. Somewhere I think he posted a generic box camera repair manual (back from the days when people fixed things) he had - certainly I've seen it, and I think it was on this forum...

Alternatively smallparts.com might be an idea too - especially as you are on the same side of the pond as they are.

You might try arts and craft stores, such as Michaels..Don

Hi Frank
Another one for small screws is Micro Fasteners, they are on the internet.
Could be a better option for you.

When I need a screw that is really small and I con not find it, I file down the head of the screw till it has the right size

To file down the screw, just put it on your dremmel drill and use a very fine file. It works really well with brass screws

I was in the same situation seeking small wood screws for a Pony Premo No. 4, and found the Bolt Depot: http://www.boltdepot.com. Great selection of really small wood screws in brass. My order was filled perfectly and promptly.

You may also need to find references on the diameters of the various screw sizes, since they are coded by number sizes.
