A coworker bought an SRT101 that seemed to work fine... however the follow needle does not respond to aperture settings at all, only shutter speed. The lens and linkage look ok, am I to assume that something popped inbetween the linkage and wherever it goes? Is there a string involved like with the shutter speeds? |

Yes. The string is attached to the aperture ring follower and goes up inside the body, winding around under the top plate on a series of small pulleys to a large pulley on the same axis as the shutter adjusting pulley. Check to make sure the string hasn't come off the aperture ring follower before removing the top, as that only requires you to remove the lens mount to check. |

Well, eventually we figured out that the lenses he got with the camera weren't meter coupled. (Seller neglected to mention this.) Everything actually works fine... |
