I took apart my a300 and found out a few things when I have the connection shown in the picture below unpluged the camera will turn on. If I have both of the plugs circled pluged in it will not power on. If I have the blue one out or both out it will power on. If I have the blue in and the red one out it will power on. And of course if I have both pluged in nothing happens. Any ideas. I know that if the CCD's in these models are bad canon will replace them even if they are not under warranty, would this be an CCD problem?

It has been my experience that when a digital camera breaks down, it's economically sounder to buy a new one. You're unlikely to get diagnostic pointers on fixing a digital camera, I'm afraid, in a forum dedicated to classic film cameras only. You might be better to approach Canon directly. |
