Good Morning, I am still looking for correct procedure to replace the battery door on a Canon AL-1. I have the door but don't want to damage the camera, trying to do it the "wrong" way. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you and have a great day. Frank..... |

CAUTION, I have not personally used this method. Use @ own risk ;-) To install the battery door on the AL-1: - remove the base plate, - maintain the camera upside-down, - unscrew the screw in the grip base (the bottom), - pry the inside edge up far enough to drift out the hinge pin & re-use it on the new door. --- Beware breaking the tab on the outside of the base, where the cross-arm screw appears to be. |
