I have Autoreflex T from about 1970 that has been sitting unused for the past fifteen or more years. It is my fathers camera, and I have taken a liking to photography, and my mother's Canon point-and-shoot just isn't cutting the mustard for me. More or less, every controlable switch, button or lever is siezed up in some way. The shutter release is stuck in the down position, the film advance will not move enough to do anything important, the timer is stuck in the up position, and needless to say, the mirrors are dusty. My father and I are in the process of trying to take the camera appart, but we are hitting a few roadblocks. Right now, we are not sure how to take the upper body cover off. There are no obvious screws, unlike the lower cover which has three very small phillips head screws. If you're not sure about any of the more specific issues we're having, but do know how to take off the top, even that information would be greatly appriciated. If you need pictures of what we are working with, please post and ask. I can take a few with my other (digital) camera. Thanks |
