Found forum other day thought i should join since i collect older cameras like kodak autographic cameras rangefinder camera,s slr,s tlr,s 110,s 126,s much more including buying up camera fan flash attachments regardless what they might have fit if it catches my eye and not damaged and in working order and prices right i buy them. i,ve been collecting for about 10 years and have about 100 camera,s . i,ve been developing b/w and color since kodak E-2 film processing was used. guess i,m hooked . i,ve done few camera repairs with success. looking forward to interacting with fellow camera buffs. |

Welcome to the forum. I am also a new member (just this year). This forum has some very experienced and courteous contributors. The info I personally have found here has been both helpful and entertaining. The only unfortunate problem is being led down the road to more interesting cameras to desire. Cheers Andy |

Thanks Andy & Don. My last new camera i,d boughten way back in 1976 my senior year of H.S. for photography class was yashica mat 124G TLR. I wanted to do larger enlargements with larger negative format then what you have with regular 35mm negative to get rid of the grainy effect on prints. I,ve played around with solarization printing effects. It,s where you soak paper in developer than expose it. after i dust off all my camera,s i,m going to have some v.g. condition camera,s up for part,s they have their individual problems but i,m going to find them good home to possibly fix up someone else,s. so far i have 3 slated to go i might find few more before i,m thru. Hi James, welcome to the forum too. 100 cameras is quite something too. Amazed to hear E-2 process being mentioned at all - my experience is limited to the E6 generation. Regarding grainless 35mm negative prints, solarisation is fascinating technique. The RH Designs pre-flashing unit is superb for this application, enabling a degree of micro-control which a torch can't compete with. Metol developers (grain dissolving) at lower developing temperatures (around 19.5C) with minimum agitation techniques also suppress grain in a different manner. Ultimately, Kodak Positive Release Fine Grain film, rated around ISO 3 is one of the grainless 35mm experiences I've ever seen. It makes Kodak Technical Pan film appear like Minox negatives enlarged by large format factor scales. Kind regards, RJ |

Talking numbers here makes me wonder who holds the record! Perhaps I might set the ball rolling with the news, that 18months ago I shifted 275 cameras to a dealer to make some room, but I'm still left with a stuffed attic amd three display cases! Incidently, I have sundry spare cameras for exchange or sale, preferably the former. Interested? If so, WHI & WHY? Regards to all |

I'm a new member also. I recently purchased an AE1 from a friend who was desperate for some cash. I've been tinkering since I was a kid, took a few classes but never followed through. I'm a little older now, more patient and more calculating (laughs)and I think this purchase lit the fire again. I own two Canon and one Minolta digital but I like the AE1 better for some reason. Already bought two lenses and some other accessories. |

Hello Don! The sort out in the attic is turning up all sorts from thirty years of collecting. Like a Yashica-Mat LM, good, apart from duff meter. Do you have a duff Y-Mat with a good meter? I will bestow blessings upon you! Regards |
