Hey all, I just got a Konica FC-1 from a friend and as of now the batteries are completely dead. I pulled the battery holder out and cleaned up the case, no leaks or anything, but the shutter is stuck in the up position. It moves down easily, but flips right back up. I've been told the camera is useless without batteries, but would new batteries get the shutter back down? I'm a broke college student and that $25+ can go to paper or mount boards, you know? |

Even a broke college student should be able to afford a few (4?) LR44, AG13-5, or 357 batteries. I buy them (cheapies granted from China but hey, it's just to try the shutter right) 5 to a card at a dollar store near my house for $1. You don't need silver, lithium or Energizers/Duracell just to try a shutter. You might even try hearing aid batteries that come 6 or 8 to a card for cheap too. Hope this helps. That FC-1 is a beauty camera when they're working, and Hexanon optics are famous. |

That's a damn fine idea with the batteries. Thanks for all the numbers. |
