Just bought this 500mm tele from ebay: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=180184692223&ssPageName= STRK:MEWN:IT&ih=008 No brand name on it. I have a Hanimex Practica (42mm mount). I figured that would be what this has, from the description. But it isn't... It threads in about a 1/2 turn & stops. The threads do not appear to be damaged, in fact they screw into the bayonet adapter just fine(which behaves the same way if I attempt to thread it on to any of my other 42mm lenses). So it is 42mm, (or darn close)but a different thread? If anybody knows what it is, any pointers to an adapter? |

The camera end looks the same as my 500mm Vivitar that I use on Nikon F2AS. The threaded end of both are designed for a screw on 'T' adapter to fit your camera body.Check out lens/camera adapter rings. /Clay |

You have to pick up a t-mount for the camera you want. Looks like a cambron or spirotone...Don |

I should add, even if the threads on the lens matched those on the camera, the adapter ring is required to space the lens enough to achieve focus at infinity. /Clay |

KEH.com often has generic brand T-mount adapters relatively cheaply. |
