I just bought a Ricoh XR-10 camera with a 50mm and 28mm lens. Both lenses have a "P" designation at the end of the f/stop range. The camera itself has an "A" setting for auto shutter speed selection based on the f/stop. Is the "P" desination a mode which will auto select the aperture? In reading about the camera there is no mention of a full program mode. thanks in advance for an explanation. -carl

It's intended for use with cameras like the XR-P which has programmed and shutter priority exposure modes (in addition to aperture priority and manual). Basically, ignore this setting on the lenses when using them with your XR-10.
