Love my camera. LCD screen is cracked and black blotchy. The backlight still works. Part is inexpensive. Does the repair need sodering or removal of board? Any info/instructions appreciated, thanks. |

I think you're asking in the wrong place. The cameras that are the subject of this forum do not have anything resembling an LCD screen. If they did, it would probably be in a nickel plated brass frame with screw terminals.... Some LCD displays use a contact that looks much like a piece of sponge, and no other visible wiring. Easy to replace if the contact stays in position, easy to screw up if it doesn't. Others use a flat cable with a clamping connector that is frightfully easy to break. If I were you, I'd take it somewhere, hand someone a fist full of money, and say "fix it, please." |
