My Minolta 5000i stopped autofocusing and their is no indicators in the viewer. Does any one know how to replace the internal battery?

If the interal battery is dead then the data display should start flashing "ISO 100" or "Help"

If there is no display at all and no AF then normally the main battery is dead or the contacts are corroded. All I can suggest is you have a good look inside the battery compartment and make sure it is clean. Then check your battery is ok.

I don't have the 5000i so I am unable to help with replacing the internal battery. The 7000 has its battery hidden behind a plate in the main battery compartment but then the 5000i is very different, sorry can't help you.
