Can anyone say if any of the parts from a Canon AE-1
can be used on a A-1 model and vice versa. Specifically, can the battery door interchange on these models? Will appreciate any insight.

I know the battery door is the same. I took one from an AE-1 and installed it on an A-1.
I can't confirm other parts but I expect some others are the same.

You can also buy a replacement battery door pretty cheap.
