Hi all I picked up A nice little ST605 with some lenses. I cleaned it up but have a meter issue. With out batteries the meter dose not move. With batteries it goes all the way to the + and stays there. Regardless of F stop, or shutter speed or ASA setting. Any ideas? Thanks |

I had a similar problem with an ST705. I downloaded a free repair manual from Kim's Fujica Website. It directed me to check the soldered connections on the "amplifier." That's a small circuit board with about 8-10 wires to and from; on the ST705 it's located under the top cover on the left-hand side, mounted below the rewind crank with a cutout for the winder shaft.
I've had several ST605Ns, but since I didn't have the same problem with them, I don't know where the "amplfier" board is located on them.
In the end, I switched out the board with one that I salvaged from a junked ST705 and it works fine now.
Looking through Kim's Fujica site, the only repair manual I see offered is for the 705. Maybe that can help you some. Good luck. |

thanks there is a board just under the rewind crank. I will re solder the connections and see if that helps. |

Thanks mate. I re-soldered the board connections and presto the meter is a working.
That just figures because I just bought another one off ebay for 24.00. Oh well I guess I now have a backup body. |

I have the same problem, how did you go about removing the top of the camera housing to get to the board under the rewind crank? |
