I have been thinking about buying a electro
35 off e-bay, just wanted to know of any
pitfalls such as..unable to get battries..or other problems with this camera..any suggestions

Hi Bill,
The original battery is no longer available but a converter can be easily built to use available batteries. Take a look at this site and it may answer most, if not all, of your questions. The author also sells a converter, with battery. Some of the "pitfalls" are battery corrosion, sticking shutter and, the infamous POD.... Again, this website will address such issues. Good luck and, hope you get one. I have several and really like them...

i just bought one and very happy with it. takes great pictures. no problem with the battery, i use 1pc cr123a and 2pcs lr44.
