i picked up nice super today. unfortunately frsh batteries did,nt fix it,s problem. rewind button is stuck in and film advance lever does,nt budge. i,m sure bottom needs taken off where i,ll find mechanism locked. i,d fixed minolta with similar problem after i got motor drive lever fork straightned and back where it belongs it works fine. i,m sure that,s what i,ll find in this case.it seems when camera,s get older and in need of being cla,d their more prone too lock up with use of motor drive. also mirror is locked in up position. i,m sure it,s all mechanical problem. meter leds appear to work correctly. any views or any one had similar problem with their me super. update after tinkering with mechanisms on bottom of camera. the rewind button is now up like it belongs after manually releasing pawl on film advance lever several times over and over things i,m sure down in camera hit and miss working properly. mirror is now down also like it belongs the electronics in auto and manual mode operate the shutter properly when it does fire. now the mirrors down like it belongs and rewind button come up and locked film sprocket.after cocking and slowly releasing film cocking lever it sounds and fells like something drops off half way back when returning lever back to it,s original position. orange dot apperas on top all time that it,s cocked but rarely fires shutter like it,s suppose too. film advance lever feels like there,s some binding when first cocking lever. any ideas. is top going to have too come off or dig deeper into inner workings of camera. i hate to have nice paper weight. i don,t give up easily it might have to go on shelf till i get sevice manual too be aid in repairing. any ideas welcome.
