Those silly Germans. I just love their old cameras. They drive me nuts. I just received a Zeiss Ikon S 310. It's a tiny little thing, with the weighty feel of a Mack truck. Very cool viewfinder - bright as can be, with the zone focus right there where you can see it. How cool is that?
Anyway - the rub. The film advance lever doesn't return until the shutter is released. The shutter seems fine, but the shutter lever is like running with scissors. My mom would say, you could put an eye out. As the shutter is released, the advance lever comes back with a vengeance. That just can't be right. But, my experience is, nothing happens in a vacuum. Does this sound familiar to anyone?
thanks again, and again,
Michael
