Hi all, I aqcuired a Lynx 14e some time ago with a missing exposure switch. I've been trying to think of ideas on how to replace it, short of buying a parts camera. Briefly, the push button and spring have been snapped off leaving the contact screw in place inside the plastic internals. I've had the camera apart following Yashica Guy's excellent site to verify the internal state. Of course the wiring is shot as well, a little green around the gills. The battery compartment is spotless though. Has anyone met a similar challenge? I assume the original push button was conductive thus passing the current via the spring - button - screw, to the contact pad. I toyed with the idea of shoehorning a small microswitch inside to make contact when the shutter is pressed halfway, but that didnt seem true to the original intention I'd also be interested to hear if anyone has a spare they could let me have. I've asked the same question on RF Forums & Flickr a couple of weeks ago, but no-one's responded yet. Thanks Andy |
