I have an opportunity to buy a really beat up Welta Perle, with a Weltar lens. I think I can fix up the camera, but am wondering if it would be worth it with a Weltar lens. I can't find anything on the internet on Weltars. |

The Lens Vademecum merely says that Welta 'used their name...' on the Weltar, implying, since they were camera makers, that they bought in their lenses and badged them 'Weltar'. The Blue Book, lists Perles as having Xenars, and Trioplans as well as Weltars: my guess is they'd be triplets, perhaps sourced from Meyer?? But then, my Reflekta II Junior has a Meritar from Ludwig... |

Thank you. I took it apart for cleaning and I think it's a triplet too. I was wondering it it is a GOOD triplet. |
