Hello, I have Canonet (first model), while focusing the double image do coincide horizontally but not vertically. But I beleive it can still able to focus. What do you say about that. Looking forward, Regards, Rizwan |

Yes, as long as the horizontal is accurately calibrated. But why wouldn't you correct the vertical? |

Thanks Brian. For two reasons. I have no idea how to remove the timer ring on top and have no clue where to find the vertical adjustment screw. |

My canonet GIII Q17 shutter wont release.i just recently bought it from flea market.i cleaned the viewfinder and the lens from the interior side.the shutter was ok before i cleaned the optics.was surprise later the shutter wont release.any idea whats wrong? |

Is the camera set to "A"? When set to A, the shutter is locked unless there is enough light for an exposure. It is also locked at A if the battery is dead or missing. Set the aperture ring to a manual setting and see if the shutter works that way. |

Hi Rick! The shutter is in manual setting.but still wont release.i just saw on one of the site that theres a mechanism beside the lens near the emblem.i'll see whats wrong later.thanks! |
