Hi folks, I have been reading with great interest on this threaad... Now I have a problem that needs some help too! I have acquired and as new Rolleiflex 2.8 with Zeiss Planar a real beauty....Did not check function..... When I tried cocking shutter I notice a malfunction: Cocking lever rotates, drives the shutter tensioning mechanism but at a certain point I hear mechanism spring back. Lever rotates without coming to a stop after one turn. And I don't see any movement on blades. Any help would be greatly appreciated Thanks Aldo |

Is the camera empty, with the frame counter reading 0? and does the shutter fire if you press the release after winding? If so, this sounds like normal behavior... the wind lever will not stop until the counter reaches 1, and it will not do that unless the film is loaded and threaded properly between the 2 silver rollers at the bottom. I'm not sure what the sound is that you're hearing, but it might just be the cocking linkage retracting. |
