Hi!

Does anybody how to disassemble the RICOH 500 RF lens?.
The camera seems to work fine (shutter, diaphragm) but the focusing
wheel is loose and cannot focus.

Thanks in advance!

Jes.

As far as I know the lens on the 500RF is the same as the 500G. It comes apart from the front. Unscrew the thin outside ring just inside the filter ring. When that is out the way, the nameplate and the ASA mask should come out. IIRC the focus ring is held on with some screws which may have fallen out.
See how you go.

Thanks a lot, Nickon51!
It was just as you said. The three screws that hold the focusing ring were loose. Probably the camera had a deep impact because the deformation that can be seen on the top cover.
Now the focusing ring works properly and even the rangefinder seems to be working as well.
Time to reseal, clean and drop a roll in to test.
Thanks again!.

Oops.
That's some dent there. They are a nice little camera with a sharp lens. I hope the dent hasn't knocked the lens alignment out too much.
Good luck
Greg
