Sekor 100 f3.5 lens just bought for my Mamiys Super 23 press camera looks to focus in the range finder, but is off when focusing on the ground glass back screen, worse than this, i dont think its a simple range finder adjustment job, rather a lens fault, as on the ground glass back, infinity is fuzzy, 1.2m is infinity and under 1m seems to focus fine !!!????? Have checked the travel of the lens, and can adjust it to a degree, but cant explain the very short focus range... starting to wonder if one of the elements has been tampered with, though the lens is imaculate without a hint of dust or anything inside it.... any one had a similar experience... not afraid to take it apart as have become quite adept to fixing old lens' these days. Cheers P.s pic is of identical, but not my lens eco |

Problem solved, turns out these lenses are colapsable for focusing on the super 23's bellows back. Found the answer at: http://members.cox.net/gmhsint/100mm55lens.html Basically grab the end twist and pull... brought it out to its normal position for use, hey presto it now focuses and matches the range finder. hope this helps someone. |
