I have a Konica Auto S3 that needs to be recalibrated for 1.5 volts, and I'm hesitant to pull off the top cover until I know...
1) Where are the adjustment screws (I assume that there should be 2? One for sensitivity and one for linearity?)
2) Is there anything to look out for when removing the top cover? Is there anything that can be significantly damaged by simply pulling it off?
3) The brightlines appear to be a bit low and to-the-right compared to another S3 I've got access to, and I'm wondering about the procedure to fix this.
P.S. Anyone have the repair schematics for this camera? I can't find them anywhere...
This will be my first attempt at any significant camera repair work, and any help would be thoroughly appreciated! Thanks in advance  |

Have you considered using a #675 (1.4 volt zinc/air) hearing aid battery? You probably won't need any recalibration. |

I have considered it, but I'd prefer to be able to use silver oxide, and have been happy with other recalibrated cameras. I need to get in to fix the brightlines anyhow, so I'd like to tidy up the meter readings while I'm in there. |

I just had my S3 open. I didn't notice any adjustment screws at all. There were two fixed resistors near the meter, which I suspect would need to be changed to perform an recalibration, probably one for low light and one for bright conditions.
Your viewfidner bright lines may come back after a thorough cleaning, at least mine did. |
