I own a Canon SD630. The mode button won't switch from camera, to view, to record, etc. It's always stuck in take picture mode. It takes pictures fine but won't let me record or view. I opened the top portion and the metal makes contact. but it doesn't register when I slide it across to the other area. I'm thinking it got wet, dropped, or something. How can I fix or replace a part? http://www.itechnews.net/wp-content/uploads/2006/12/canon-digital-ixus-65-powers hot-sd630.jpg In this picture all the way on the right hand side of the photo and on top of the camera is the switch I am speaking of. |

Hi Loren: While we do slip and get into discussions of some later electronic and/or plastic cameras, I think your SD630 is outside the scope of this classic-mechanical-camera repair forum. |
