I am trying to get to the aperture of a Carl Zeiss Jena 35mm f2.4 Prakticar (Praktica B-mount) lens, which is optically identical to the flektogon, and found this repair guide: http://www.kolumbus.fi/uusilehto/img/lenses/zeiss/disass/ However, when I get to step 4 the part is slightly different and there is a metal "plug" that stops the hole above one of the three screws. Has anyone come across this before? Any ideas why they did that and how I can unscrew it? Thanks, Sam. |

Hi!, I purhase a Carl Zeiss Flektogon 2,4/35mm lens from ebay a wile ago, but I found out that the lens works only wide open. This lens is unused, thats why it was for sale ? I disassemled it into parts and found that the diaghram spring was only attached to the aperture ring "nose", but I do not know where the other end should be put to. I cant see any wear- ing marks because it is unused. Thanks, Ismo |

I have been trying to get to stage 5 of the disassembly sequence but having done stage 4 don`t seem to be able to get the front element/aperture assembly out of the case. I know this probably sounds stupid but is it meant to come out rearward or forward? If I know this I might figure out how to do it without damaging anything. Peter. |
