Howdy! I was browsing the web on camera collecting and came across this site! I must admit I am new to this and know absolutely nothing. What turned me on to this is that I found an old camera of my fathers. I was hoping someone could tell me something about it and was also curious if it was worth anything (collecting wise). I have provided a link of pictures of it. It is an older Ricoh Singlex TLS with several lenses. Any information you could share with me would be great! Thanks so much for your time! Dear Torquem, My ageing 'McKeown's' lists the Ricoh Singlex as having been made from c.1964-1966 - and with the Nikon bayonet lens-mount. For the camera (plus standard lens?) it suggested a price of $75-125 - but it was the 1990-1991 edition. You could do an eBay search for Ricoh Singlex under 'completed items' to get an idea of current prices. FJRO |

Everything I find on the Ricoh Singlex TLS (and the Sears TLS) says it is a M42 screw mount camera. |

I recently resurrected the same camera, given to my by my godfather. All of the foan went to goo and fouled the shutter, but it cleaned up with a bit of elbow-grease. The meter doesn't work but other than that it is a nice, basic 35mm. (Preston, your photobucket crashed my browser so I never saw your camera, but I'll bet it is noce.) |

Hi. I have the earlier Singlex with the clip-on meter, which really approaches London bridge proportions. I should have a spare working/boxed clip-on meter, if anyone is interested in making me a good offer.A book price of 75-100 for the early one sounds about right, but not for the less interesting successor. |

The earliest Ricoh Singlex took Nikon lenses. These are supposedly highly valued in Japan. I have one that came with a Rikenon 1.4 55mm lens, an Exakta (Nikon mount) 28-70 zoom, and an early Nikkor 35 mm. That's quite a lineup! |
