Hi, I would like to clean the inside parts of the taking lens of this Minolta Autocord with Citizen shutter. I got the first front element easily, but I have trouble with the inner front element. Is it suppose to be unscrewed by holding the threads by with the outer front element is screwed? If any of you faced stuck threads, how did you manage to get good grip ? Thanks |

It may be easier to remove the rear element - which may also need cleaning, then clean the centre element from the rear via the open shutter / aperture, using a q-tip (cotton bud) or similar. I've never done this myself on an Autocord, though, and can't say how difficult it is to remove the rear lens (and more important, get it back). It's just an option. |

Thanks for the suggestion. However, my spanner wrench is sadly to short to reach the lens. Anyway, after sleeping on it, I realized that this part was really made to be unscrewed and I used a piece of rubber to give me a good grip. I was then happy to realize that the inner lens was finally coming. I then cleaned the other surface of the inside of the lens through the shutter blades. |

I'd love to do this as well. I'd rather like to clean the whole camera... have you any other tips for me? |
