Hi there! If you have an Old Kiev 88 TTL Prism, and you can't find the battery, here's an option. This kind takes some 6 volts battery that are no longer manufactured. But YES you can use it anyway! 1. Just buy 4 LR44 batteries (1,5v each = 6volts) 2. This batteries have smaller diameter than the original, so wrap the 4 LR44 in a rubber plate (or plastic / papper / non metlaic material) forming a sort of large battery. (all sides facing the same place) 3. Insert in the right position (positive and negative). 4. The most important step!! Place a small compression spring between the new battery and the screw cap. This may be loose or welded to the screw cap, and another important tip, make sure that the spirng is electrical conductor! Screw it, and all done!!! You can do this in about 10 minutes! Enjoy! |
