Hi,
anyone tried to disassemble taking and viewing lenses of lubitel universal 166?

I could not figure out how to do.
Any ideas?

I seem to remember there are four screws which retain the taking lens / shutter assembly from the rear inside the body. I found that if these were loosened, there was enough play to disengage / re-engage the gears and adjust the focussing - this seems to be a design feature. I did not have to do any more than this on mine, I guess if you remove the screws completely, the taking lens will come off. Hope this helps.

I think the viewing doublet simply unscrews from its geared barrel. Can't remember if there were any stopscrews...
