I shoot with old cameras including a Canon 7 range finder. I don't believe the light meter is accurate. I do have a vintage Weston Master II hand-held light meter that I picked up at a flea market for a couple of bucks. I guess my question is, do these old hand-held meters still work? What is a good, affordable, hand-held meter out there today if this vintage Weston meter is out of date? Thanks! John |

I have two GE and one Weston meter, all from around 1950, that all appear to be perfectly accurate. You do, of course, encounter dead ones too, but good ones are not uncommon in the good brands. |

The Weston is indeed a nicely built product. It came in the original box with instructions and it works. I will use it help me with the calibration of my Canon 7. Thanks again, Rick! |

Gossen from Germany made(makes) also some very good handheld meters. I used the Profisix, Lunasix and recently picked up a Bisix which doesn't need a battery (selenium cell). |
