Hi all - Total noob here. I have acquired a beautiful Fujica V2. Nice condition except for misaligned range-finder and a non responsive light-meter. The light meter is probably beyond me, but if I could fix the range-finder alignment it might make a good manual shooter. Does anyone have any links to info on adjusting one of these? |

Search the archives! RF: horiz? vert? Light meter: not easy to reach, repair quite demanding, almost no chance for a newbie. NB The camera - if in proper condition - is better than a "shooter"! |

I never fixed a V2, but just some general tips: To align the RF, you'll most likely have to remove the top cover. However, many of those early 1960s Japanese cameras did have screwdriver holes in the top cover through which the aligning screws could be adjusted without removing the whole cover. Often, this required sliding a clip-cover off of the accessory shoe, or a threaded cap on the back of the top cover. As far as the light meter, there's a lot that could go wrong with the circuit. But the most common problem is a corroded battery wire leading from the battery compartment (inside the bottom cover). Can try replacing most or all of that wire, and see if it helps. Those early-1960s Fujicas had excellent lenses. I've used several. here's a site with some photos of the innards: http://homepage1.nifty.com/fukucame/tips/fujiv2_t.htm |

My surprise is to see someone has one of these that actually shoots. |
