My FM2 light meter is hectic - when I turn the speed or aperture dials, the +0- lights flash like crazy. I just overhauled it, so there might be 2 reasons for this: 1. I didn't solder the wires properly 2. I removed a spring which was located near the speeds dial and seemed to have no use - maybe it was needed for grounding? Thanks! |

Nikon never includes springs which have no functionality - so now you know the root of your problem. Put it back exactly as it came out - and retest. |

It was the spring: I put it back and the meter start working well, but after few seconds it stopped functioning completely! I checked all the immediate suspects (battery, loose wires), but found nothing wrong. Any idea? |

Were any of the wires which you desoldered, from points on the flex pcb prism overlay? |

Any idea regarding the light meter? maybe I need to re-solder the wires on the PCB? |
