Hi all, I'm new here, my name is Andrea and I'm an Italian guy. I hare received an Agfa Silette but I think there is some problems.
With the back open and shutter in B pose, if I try to focus I see that the image is all in focus, both infinite and 1m. I think that focus ring and helicoid are decoupled. What can I do to try to repair that camera?
Thanks to all.

Are you looking directly through the film gate
at the back of the lens? If so everything will
always look in focus. You need to put a piece
of ground glass over the film gate to see any

If the focusing ring turns smoothly and the front
lens is turning also it is OK.

Unless your tape is milky white (google 3M magic document tape) you won't see out of focus image - your eyes will compensate as far as they can when looking through the lens.

Take some paper for wrapping sandwiches (semi transparent one, thin) and try again - you will see the effect.
