Hello Everybody, Here is my first post but it's one more time about a yashica electro! I bought a great looking electro few days ago. The camera seems to work properly but when I push down the shutter release button somtimes it takes time to go up and sometimes it stays jammed until I move the wind lever. When I move the wind lever I've got the normal clung noise so I don't think there is a link with a potential POD problem. When I play with the button I can feel like a sticking point when fully pushed. Do you have an idea about the potential root cause for that? Thanks for your help! |

Sounds like something is out of alignment or just gummed up. Either way, it will need dismantling to repair and I guess, if you were to dismantle it, the reason would probably become obvious. You might find the pictures on this site helpful if you are going to dismantle it. http://personal.inet.fi/koti/picnet/Y35G/ And you can get the service manual from here. http://www.scribd.com/doc/19302555/Yashica-Electro-35-Service-Manual |

Thanks a lot for the links. I think I will try to open the camera but not fully. At first I will remove the bottom plate which is the easiest thing to do! |
