Hello, Yesterday my grandfather gave me his old Petri c.c. super 2.8 camera, well anyway I brought it home and looked it over and at first the film advance lever would go all the way back but the shutter button wouldn't come up. Well after going to a local camera shop and the guy refering me to send it off for repair I brought it home and tried the film advance lever once again and now the lever won't move anymore than about 3/4 the way still nothing with the shutter button though. Please help, send info or advice.
Most likely the problem is caused by the deterioration of the original lubrication which has been in place, say, since 1958 or so. It will need to be completely cleaned out and replaced. The disassembly required will be at least the removal of the top of the camera and the front of the lens barrel to expose the leaf shutter mechanism.
