I have 2 Contaflex I's. One has a black coloured shutter speed ring, the other is copper coloured. Does anyone know why there is a difference? I'm hoping one is a very rare, limited, commemorative edition (but I'm not holding my breath). |

You could try asking somebody in the ZICG (Zeiss & Zeiss Ikon camera enthusiasts group). You can find them here : http://groups.yahoo.com/group/ZICG/ |

I have included a photo of the Contaflex. Note the copper coloured shutter speed scale. In my research, I have only come across photos with the black scale.

I had one that was half way between black and like yours looks. Attribute it to bad annodization of the metal. |
